image Many visits with promises that they would do something for my constant pain that has been ongoing for more than six months. I was supposed to get a spinal injection, but they canceled.

image After seeing Serval doctors over the years, I'd have to put this place as a LAST RESORT option. Bad customer Service, spoke with a manager Kevin and this guy was rude, lacked empathy, and in the wrong profession. And if this a manager of this establishment, well i dont any oart of this.

image Been going there for 4 years. They have given me back my mobility without pain. I recommend to anyone with chronic pain. I'm just mad my previous pain management center, never told me about this place. Could have been out of pain slot sooner. I love the entire staff. Great people.

image Back pain after surgery is incredibly difficult to treat and perhaps even harder to live with. Dr. Robinson at HCPM was kind and listened to my concerns. However, he and his team left in Sept for a new practice and were replaced with a motley crew of people who communicate poorly, over the phone and in person, and who have repeatedly given me conflicting advice and/or guidance. For example, I was told that a medial branch block had no risk and there was no chance of complication by the nurse and the doctor confirmed. After the procedure, though, I gradually began feeling immense pain, to the point of not being able to dress myself, and called the practice many times to discuss. On a Friday around noon, the nurse advised me to go to the Urgent Care or ER in my area, as the practice was 'closed.' So I did, which was apparently a strike against me. Around that time I also began seeing blood in my urine, presumably because of the huge amount of ibuprofen I was taking. Dr. Peruvemba actually laughed when I told him about the blood and told me to talk to my PCP and stop taking ibuprofen. He then prescribed pain meds, which helped immensely. A week or so later, I received a call from the nurse a few days later who informed me that the doc would no longer prescribe pain medicine. I asked her why and she gave a long convoluted answer about using two pharmacies (which I explained, my insurance is requiring me to change) and violating their pain agreement because I had seen my PCP and told her about my back issues. I had already spoken to them about this violation a few times but no one listened or recorded what I said, it was utterly dismissed for reasons I do not understand. I asked the nurse what Dr. Peruvemba's plan was, then, for treating my pain? She said she did not know and Dr. Peruvemba has not followed up with me - it's clear as day that this was about limiting liability and not about me as an individual and a patient. This practice is terrible. As a pain patient, it's so difficult to battle stereotypes and assumptions and I would hope a pain management practice would be very sensitive to this, and make listening to patients a priority, but this is not even remotely that case at HCPM. I would not recommend them, seek help elsewhere.
