Travelodge by Wyndham Silver Spring

Worst hotel experience I ever had. The whole hotel premises smells like urine. The room is not clean and almost nothing works properly. There was a used condom packet and tissues inside the bedside drawer. The sink doesnt drain. The bathtub drains but no water in the shower. If you are looking for a place to stay, keep looking.

I wish I read reviews before staying here. Room smells dampness and mold, heater was so loud that kept waking us up, but that was not the main problem. Someone tried to get in our room when we were sleeping, inside lock saved us. When I called the receptionist he said that maybe someone mistakenly opened, but how is that possible without a key card? Receptionist told he would call security, but nobody came to investigate. When I called again he told that he looked from the window and nobody is staying near our room. He had no intention to help us. The next morning when we were checking out there was a different receptionist. When I complained again, she told that she will report to manager and thats it, no apologies or anything. Safety: Not safe

I wish I could give a ZERO! This place has Officer G who patrols from around 10pm - 4am, but they need security and cameras 24/7 the way they are running it into the ground. The front desk staff cannot support anything but make your new reservation, not admin nor security issue until when the "manager" is physically onsite and available. Now, I know I should have supported my family who stayed and nudged them to pay more elsewhere but here we are --- giving a BAD review because they stayed here and had a haunted, troubling time. Noise and in/and out/ individuals smoking and having sex next door, jewelry stolen by someone who broke in/or had keys (they said they cannot prove anything and cops wouldn't investigate further), they do not have cameras on the premise, the cop told us that "...it's not a good spot and do not know why the TravelLodge is able to get approved to stay open and it's rent by the hour joint for hookups, homeless, and addicts, that there is heavy crime performed every night there...", the staff said that there would be breakfast... the kitchen looks like it hasn't been open since 2020 at least. Lots of people coming and going with paper bags. It is not family friendly. I would advise, if you are on a budget, please look elsewhere.... it's worth it to pay more for better service and stay. I will regret having my parents stay for the rest of my life! If you took my mother's wedding ring, I hope you have bad karma for the rest of your life.
