A dear friend of our family was a resident at this facility and they took wonderful care of him. The home is beautiful and clean and staff was very friendly. I had the opportunity to visit on a day they were having a picnic on the beautiful property for their residents, family and friends and it was such a nice event. The staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

I do volunteer work for some of the different houses, all I have to say is my staff has a blast working with them and all of their staff is a pleasure to be around. We always have fun and the residents have a great time. I never worked with a facility that cares so much.

Looking for a REAL warm home setting for your loved one? Look no further than Woodholme in Pikesville. I am sure like you, when I first began the search for a place for my loved one I was skeptical, afraid, uncertain, and pretty much worried all the time. I visited at least 10 different types of aging/sick care facilities. I found during my search the places I call "cold facilities"; facilities that had plain white walls, uniform settings, had lights of course but seemed dark to me, and cold, just did not work for me. By the time I visited at least 4 of these "cold facilities" the 5th place was Woodholme. I could not believe my 1st experience, JOYOUS. I left Woodholme and continued visiting the rest of the locations on my list and went back to Woodholme at least 3 times at different times of the day even unexpected. Still JOYOUS and I could not stay away. For me, Woodholme provided the following JOYOUS items; Woodholme always smelled good and never like a hospital or an unclean smelly facility, the wood fixtures at Woodholme are clean and makes Woodholme feel like a real home, the rooms are absolutely beautiful, they are decorated with beautiful varying colors, beautiful curtains, added home feeling decor, the architectural shapes of the rooms are outstanding, the food is homemade (not facility standard) just like the way you cook at home (but without the salt) but extremely good, the staff is kind, attentive, and will respond appropriately to emergencies and will contact you in the manner you desire, there are activities several times a week, and something that is really nice is that they have access to physical therapy for the legs and arms (really great). I can't say enough good things about Woodholme. All of my observations began in 2014 and I am at Woodholme frequently (about 3 to 4 times per week) and my observations remain the same. in 2018 Do yourself and your loved one a favor and look no further. You will be pleased on the 1st visit and will want to come back to visit. By the way, every relative and friend of my mom that has visited has said, "they have never seen a place like this and they hope to come here when the time comes". Even the relatives that have come from out of town. VISIT WOODHOLME NOW AND RELIEF WILL COME OVER YOU ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.
