If you like smoking you'd love living here!! I'm currently in my second unit on this property due to having to leave my first unit since my upstairs neighbor was always smoking and it would pour into my unit. Now in my second unit and my neighbor smokes almost as much. The walls are so thin, the smoke comes straight into my kitchen and bathroom, as that is our connecting wall. And if i want to open my windows to air it out, you best believe smoke is coming in from outside as well. For a non smoking community, there is nothing but smoking happening. I have emailed the property manager and all I get now is "thanks for your email". They just don't want to deal with it. I have a pet, I have asthma and I now have a 3 month old niece who I like to babysit. The smoke smell was so bad a few weeks ago my cat was coughing non stop. It's not acceptable. You walk outside and all you smell is smoke. I even have a FedEx guy on my ring doorbell saying how it smells awful in our hall as he's making a delivery. Rent here is far too much to not be able to breathe in my own home. I also know for a fact there are at LEAST 3 tenants in my building smoking. But let's also talk about the trash. Valet trash comes when they want, and then the trash gets left to pile up in front of the compactors. I come home from work and see mice and rats in the trash area, and parking lot. Being on the first floor now, that's not what you want to see. My front door to this unit has also not been fixed since I moved into it. If the door is unlocked, and you lightly push on it, it swings wide open. Super safe right? I made note of it on my move in form, and even told the employees about it, multiple times. The door does not latch shut. But they have maintenance tighten the lock so much that I almost couldn't get into my home one night. Make it make sense. The door needs to be replaced. This property truly does not care about their residents.

This place is uninhabitable. It's filled with mice. I could hear them crawling and scratching when I slept. I couldn't own furniture because mice would make a nest inside of the furniture and ruin it The people who run this place should be in jail for endangering their residents and stealing our rent. These morons removed the dumpster and decided to fine us because the trash compactor overflowed. So the apartment is an open air dumpster. You can smell the garbage from my apartment when the wind shifts. This place is insanely expensive. I finally escaped and not living in a hell hole filled with vermin is amazing. This place is nothing but a scam trying to steal as much money from residents as possible.

So I have been living here for a month and thought things was going smoothly like little things has happened during my stay here but I have been trying to be positive about the situation not until I woke up early in the morning today (3:00am) to meal prep for the week and while I was still cooking , the electric stove blew out a spark of light and dark smoke from the inside burner and shut both the oven and the electric stoves off. I immediately reached out to the maintenance team , I put in some tickets and also went to the office to have someone come check it out and yes not even a single soul came to my apartment to get it fixed! Its been over 13hrs and I havent eaten cause I like preparing my meals myself and rarely eat outside. Thank you Lakesidemill apartment for this wonderful experience

I've been living here for a few weeks and so far so good! I can honestly say that this is one of my better leasing experiences. Brandi was very helpful, professional, and personable during the entire process. The consistent updates and assisting me with my questions made me feel very comfortable and at ease. From start to finish, Brandi made the process easy. The grounds upkeep is better than most and I enjoy the Valet trash pick up. The leasing office is very responsive and professional. They also have answers to your questions (at least mine). I also like the Daily Digest from the community, the rewards, and the community engagement. I can say that so far, I have no issues.There is a shopping center across the street, complete with a grocery store. Near the beltway and restaurants. The gym is also 24 hours, I'll make it there (lol)! Big thanks to Brandi for her quick response to my inquiry and all of her assistance. Enjoying my new place!!!
