Surf Villa Hotel

If you want a fancy, upscale hotel this is not for you! If you are looking for a home-y, yet quiet place, you should rather enjoy this place! We stayed in room 21, you had an ocean view from the bedroom window, the bathroom was rather small, but functional. The gentleman at the front desk is super kind and welcoming! My fianc and I loved this quaint little place, and plan to be back in the near future! For the price its unbeatable! Rooms: The rooms were very clean and welcoming Safety: Many patrol officers in the area Food & drinks: The local good and drinks were phenomenal! Pineapple punch at poolside is unmatched.

The room was clean. The water pressure was good. The location was perfect. I didnt have any issues during my 4 night stay. Walkability: Very close to board walk.

If your only looking for a bed to sleep in this place is ok. The water pressure is horrible. The TV remote didn't work. The door locks are battery deadbolts with exterior pin pad. The air conditioner could wake the dead. Coffee was iffy at best. The soda machine is ornamental. It's off site parking, about 2 blocks away that you still have to pay for. The bathroom sink was held up by a peace of thin wood. All in all, it's just a "cheap" place to crash for the night.

Limited parking. Despite police presence at 3am and a call to the manager Hector. He seemed unconcerned and did not even come to the scene. I received the same response and a shrug of the shoulders when my AC didnt cool and the wifi was awful. Btw...thats how you watch tv. You have to stream over wifi. There is no staff on premises from 10pm to 10am. Leaving kids and adult kids to do as they like. The cleaning girls were very nice and no evidence of bugs. Towels and sheets were old and dingy. I bought my own. It's very cheap and you get what you pay for. It's oceanblock so that's a plus. Probably its only plus. They do not change the door codes either. My children rented two rooms and we tried their doors out of pure curiosity. We could've entered another guests room! We didn't...but that's unsafe.

The Surf Villa Hotel is a kind of hotel you wouldnt want to stay for more than a night or two, preferably one. The room and bathroom are pretty small and the parking lot holds half a dozen cars leaving you to deal with parking. When I took a shower the water wouldnt drain quick enough to if you spent more than 10 mins, the shower floor would over fill. I came back hours later and plenty of water was still in there(which I have a picture of). A bit on the low end side, but a good location with it being a few hundred feet from the boardwalk on 7th street. So in a sence, your are getting what you pay for which is only between 39-49 bucks a night(past labor day in September of 2021). If your getting a room here, spend as little time as here as you can unless its on the front porch of the hotel.
