Ive stayed here 2 years in a row, the condo we stay in is nice, showing wear, but nice. The building is the problem.. you walk in to the foyer greeted by a putrid stench horrid smells like dirty or moldy pool water. The carpet ave paint throughout the building is weathered and filthy. Our unit, reeked of marijuana coming in through our doors/ vents the entire time just disgusting we left a day early unsanitary

The condo was an excellent last minute choice for our quick getaway before school starts. It was Close to the beach, restaurants and other activities. Chris was a great host that addressed our questions right away. Will definitely book with Chris/Makai again on our next visit to OC! 5 STARS

Makai use to be a good place, but now it's so dirty that you cannot Imagin. The beds are out of date and very old not back support at all. The TV's are at least 20 years old or even older, the resolution of their TVs kills your eyes.

This place ruined OCMD for my family and I. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Can you imagine being awoken by voices at the door opened by an armed guard and a man at 1:30 AM. The man started saying that he did not want to throw us out, but he owned the condo. He did not mention his name once, all he kept saying is that we needed to vacate the premises because we were trespassing. We rented the condo through a leasing company and had every right to be there. We showed them the contract with our departure date and time, thats when they left with NO APOLOGY whatsoever from the so-called owner. Although the rental company did give us some money back, why is it that the owner will still get paid after what he put us through. Im still shaken up by this incident.
