Chase Bank

We scheduled an appointment with a banker on a Saturday morning to talk more about our account. Michael Wu went above and beyond by answering all the questions we had, listening to our situation, and offering solutions. He was very friendly and attentive, and it felt like I was being helped by a friend. Thanks, Michael!

Horrible customer service. I walked into this branch to open a personal checking account 40 minutes before the closing time. There were literally 0 customers in the bank at that time. All the employees were just sitting at their desks doing nothing and yet they refused to open an account for me 40 minutes before closing time in an empty bank!! I asked the front lady (which had a negative attitude from the moment I walked into the bank) how long it typically takes to open an account for an existing customer and she said 20-30 minutes at maximum which was well within the time I visited the branch, with no customers ahead of me. Chase just lost a customer. Im never coming back to this branch.

Horrible customer service! Ive been there twice to deposit checks for my son who lives out of town. When he receives checks at my address, instead of sending the checks to him, I simply deposit them into his Chase account. First encounter: I entered the bank and it was like I was invisible for 10 minutes. No one was in line. Someone else entered the bank and a lady comes out immediately, escorted them into her office while Im still standing there and have been for 10 minutes. Another bank employee sees the whole thing, comes to my rescue and apologizes. Second encounter (3/19/24): I went to the counter to deposit 1 check (small amount). After a brief wait, the teller beckoned for me. She took forever (Im not sure why), then came back to tell me I needed to have a seat because she needed to review the check. I asked her if there was a problem and she again said that she needed to review the check. I have a seat and she waits on the next 4 or 5 people in line. Frustrated, I got up to leave but encountered the greeter employee standing in front to welcome customers. I asked if he could help me with the deposit and he did in a matter of a couple minutes. I thanked him and left. Each time, I had to rely on that second tier of customer service after the first tier failed me.

I went into the branch three weeks ago to get their help dealing with my mom's account who had recently passed away. I gave them a copy of the death certificate and will and requested a copy of the account balance the day of her death, as my attorney needed it to finalize her estate. I still don't have the statement and got a call last week that they couldnt locate the death certificate and that I needed to send them a copy of it. I was also told they would overnight the statement, however here we are a week later and I still don't have it. I was told they were "processing" it four days ago. Mo has been nothing short of incompetent and quite insensitive considering the situation. Apparently customer service isn't a requirement at this particular bank.
