I usually avoid giving negative reviews to doctors due to my family background in the medical field. However, I feel compelled to share my recent unsatisfactory experience. I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment to sort out new insurance details, and I informed the receptionist of my tight schedule due to an important work meeting. Despite the waiting area being empty, the receptionist seemed displeased with my request for timely service. After waiting 15 minutes past my appointment time, I inquired again about any possible delays, only to be told to wait further. Eventually, 30 minutes after my scheduled time, the clinic manager confrontationally informed me about a delay due to insurance processing, a procedure I found unusually long and unnecessary. When I questioned this, the staff implied that I was being aggressive, which was not the case. The doctor then emerged, claiming their system doesn't accept printed insurance cards, which contradicted my previous experiences. The doctor even questioned whether I wanted to be seen at all, after making me wait for 40 minutes and providing misleading information. During the appointment, the doctor accused me of being late and argued about it, despite my early arrival. I suggested verifying this with their check-in records and cameras, but my concerns were disregarded. The experience was so negative that I resolved never to return or recommend this doctor. The inflexibility of the staff and the inappropriate behavior of the doctor, especially regarding the insurance issue and the misrepresentation of my punctuality, were deeply disappointing. I have never been to a doctors office showing no compassion, instead making lies assuming I dont understand how the systems work. Dr Tabor, was very disappointing as well instead of just apologizing for the delay to further confront me during the appointment instead of just giving me the time that I am also paying for!! never going back!

I visited Dr. Tabor because of some bad runner's toe I got from training for a marathon. The toenails needed to be treated but the care I received was horrible from beginning to end. I waited an hour to be seen after leaving work early making the visit rushed because it was past 5. He inspected my foot and immediately said that I was not meant to run because of my toes and tried to sell me on expensive inserts, not all minding how hurtful that is to hear and swallow in the middle of marathon training. Dr. Tabor then decided to remove the toenails with no warning (no local anesthetic given). I just about fainted from the visceral reaction. He put band-aids on my toes and sent me on my way with no directions on how to treat my toes or recover. I was then billed $200+ for the 10 minutes it took to mangle my toes and keep me from running for a week. I was also billed for tests that I did not know were taken. I called and emailed to inquire about the experience and received a snippy attitude about how in "30 years he had never needed to explain to someone how to take care of their wounds". My visit resulted in horrible throbbing pain and slow recovery. My toes look awful to this day (afraid to wear sandals) and worst of all, I was belittled about the whole interaction. Experiences like these are why doctors make the medical industry so hard to trust. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Didnt even get my appointment. Arrived to the location and after entering the front door, the sign outside where the office was supposed to be said to go around the building. I am disabled and in a wheelchair and this made me late. Once I got there they told me the doctor couldnt see me because I was late after failing to mention beforehand that there are extra steps to enter the office.

Update: 11-09-2320 Dr. Tabor called me at 6PM today while I was at Dinner. Dr. Tabor proceeded to explain that during the more than 5 weeks since my appointment, he was on vacation and had the unfortunate luck of experiencing deaths in both he and his Spouses close family. While I am humbly reminded that others can experience unforeseen challenges, I must stand behind my initial review. In my initial review, I identified an administrative failure not necessarily issues with the Doctors performance. As a patient experiencing pain and seeking care, I am not sure the expectation is that I be burdened with finding out the providers schedule. In fact, that very responsibility rest with the providers administrative staff to communicate with patients about delays, scheduling conflicts, and expectations. Further, there is a question of medical ethics here too. If a provider cannot take care of a patient for whatever reason, shouldnt other providers be referred to the patient? I have made mistakes in life too and know that sometimes things just dont work out. That said, I should not be scolded by a provider for advocating for my care and quality of the ancillary services that make patient care possible. I wish Dr. Tabor and his practice well, but I did not feel cared for or welcomed and my trust in the provider was completely eroded. Lastly, Dr. Tabor shared that a key member of his administrative staff is his spouse. I would submit that changes in his administrative staffs performance are needed, perhaps his relationship with a key member of his staff is impacting his ability to correct the service issues that I have shared. I am a current patient of Dr. Tabor whose treatment requires a surgical procedure, soon to be former patient. Dr. Tabor provided standard professional care in assessing my condition and in identifying a treatment plan. Notwithstanding Dr. Tabors excellence of care, the staff serving his practice, and in particular the individual scheduling procedures, are simply failing the practice and patients. My initial visit was in late September of 2023 and as of today (11/7/2023), the individual scheduling my procedure has not called me to inform me of further steps or to establish expectations for how long the process might be. In fact, had I not started calling over the last 4 days, I am not confident that any of Dr. Tabors administrative staff would have reached out to me. The provider can only share their expertise if supporting staff is passionate and engaged in the practice of serving patients. Unfortunately, I am afraid that if I were a patient without the ability to advocate for myself, Dr. Tabors staff could likely mistreat me or exponentially weaken the quality of my care. The last comment that was made to me this morning was, I dont really know why Ms. Lisa has taken so long to get back to you, to tell you the truth I just started here and dont really know whats going on with your case, followed by a dial tone. I feel like maybe the Doctor does not want me as a patient and the staff is just pushing me off. This is a terrible feeling because my foot hurts and finding a good Podiatric provider can be a challenge. I am hoping the staff might improve when they see this review!

I apologize for any confusion during your last visit. Our system time stamps the entire patient visit encounter from time of arrival to check-out. Our system indicates you arrived at 1:35 for a 1:30 appointment. My staff was already checking in other patients scheduled between 1:30-2:00. You were fully checked in by 1:57 after verifying your new insurance. We do accept printed copies of insurance cards. Digital copies on the other hand are not accepted. You were checked out of the office by 2:03 which means your total time at our office was 28 minutes. We request patients arrive 20 minutes in advance of their appointment in order to allow time for insurance verification and updating medical records. Since you arrived late my staff was already involved in checking-in other patients (that arrived on time) and verifying their insurance policies. Luckily we were able to work you back into the schedule just not at the expense of other patients who presented in a timely fashion. At no time was my staff argumentative but simply tried to accommodate the challenges presented with your new insurance verification and late arrival. I understand you were under time constraints due to a work meeting but it may have been more prudent to reschedule your visit or schedule your time more appropriately.

Due to HIPAA regulations I am unable to discuss you treatment in detail. Thankfully our EHR system thoroughly documents the timing of events. You presented to our office at 4:36 for a 4:15 appointment which means we had to work you back into the schedule which we were happy to do but not at the expense of other patient appointments. The marathon that you ran caused all of your symptoms hence your need for treatment that I provided including testing (that you were informed of) that is the standard of care for your issue. I explained to you that it may take 12 months for your toenails to grow back at the time of the visit. I explained to you that billing for medical services can be based on complexity of the situation (ie prescribing meds, ancillary testing, etc) or time. In your case it was complexity. It's always interesting that patient complaints and poor reviews are made when the bill needs to be paid months later instead of immediately after the so called "poor treatment". Sorry for any misunderstandings. Good luck with your next marathon.

We apologized but you were 20 minutes late and the doctor was scheduled to do surgery at the hospital and had to leave. He could not be late for surgery. I am also confused about your statement since we have no stairs. We are handicap accessible from the parking which is directly in front of our office.
