Sears Appliance Repair

A $20 kit on Amazon and a 7min YouTube video will help you fix a noisy bearing in a wash/dry combo but sears home service wants to charge you $1,000 for two people to come change the bearing in a dryer that takes about an hour if you dont know what youre doing while you watch a YouTube video w a basic set of tools. What a racket! They gave me a 10% discount on a new $1200 unit though. Do yourself a favor and find someone who knows what they are doing with appliances.

Repairman needed to use bathroom before he started. Then he misdiagnosed problem and wouldn't give estimate for repair cost (but said 12 year warranty didn't cover any of it). I refused to let him work on it but agreed to pay $99 diagnosis cost for which I was then charged $112.95. I then called a local plumber who replaced a drain valve quickly and confirmed I didn't need the P&T valve replaced which sears said was needed. My hot water heater now runs perfectly.

A&E factory services is the worst repair organization I have ever dealt with in my life. I waited three weeks for a repair appointment and the repair tech told me to order the part myself when I was assured they would be arriving with the part. I have little kids and my 3 year old fridge doesnt work because the manufacturer put faulty parts on it-look up LG compressor issues. Then the cost was suddenly $600 for a part under warranty when I was told it would be free. Then this guy cancelled the order. I have to wait three weeks again for another repair order. Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair
