In all my years of either buying new cars or used cars, I have finally met up with the notorious back alley car dealer. My wife and I, who live in Pennsylvania, recently purchased a 2012 Kia Forte EX from the Hi/Lo dealer in Cockeysville, MD. The car itself is a nice little car and if the previous owner would have maintained it, it would be worth what we paid, $7995 plus $499 documentation fees. These fees were not explained to us, even though I asked several times. We bought this car without truly checking it due to the urgency we had in replacing my wifes other car, which had just died. I mean what could go wrong? Right? We found it on CarGurus and it seemed like a perfect fit. Pretty much what we were looking for. Well, two days after getting it home, I finally look it over. Not happy with what I found. First I hear a knock coming from the motor. Second, I check the oil, to discover the dipstick was slightly burnt and the oil was just shy of one quart overfilled, probably to suppress the knocking sound. Third, the air filter was mostly black and clogged. Fourth, the driver side headlight had condensation inside the lense. Fifth, the windshield wipers were very much in need of replacement. Sixth, even though the tires have good tread, they are the least expensive and cheapest tires to buy. I changed the oil, replaced the air filter, replaced the headlight and wipers total cost $180 (planned to replace tires in spring). Which is nothing compared to the diagnosis we just got from our mechanic saying the knock is more than likely a rod bearing and will cost at least $3000 to fix. Not everything was bad at this place. Jaime Vance, our sales person, was very pleasant and seemed nice. Too nice to be working there. Hi/Lo is the epitome of a shady car dealership, taking advantage of gullible and lazy buyers. Just fulfilling their innate business creed. My advice and recommendation, find some place else to shop.

If it was a - I wouldve hit that but yall do not buy your car from here please they are terrible terrible terrible they sold me a lemon the way they do business is trash if you have any issues with your car they are quick to tell u theres no issues yall dont waste yall money
