I chose BC because I wanted a local mortgage company that I could reach out to if I ever needed to. But BC sold my mortgage to PennyMac after a year. Then anytime I had an issue, I had to deal with absurdly long wait times, "oh that's another department", disconnected calls, and "sorry I can't help you". So why choose a local lender when they are just going to sell your loan to some juggernaut mortgage company?
