Cute rooms, beautiful attention to detail, friendly staff and exceptional breakfasts.
About a 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor or Acadia Park. Close to many Acadia hiking trails.
Be sure to book well ahead during peak season.

We had the most amazing time visiting mount desert island and staying at this Inn. The hospitality provided by Dora and Daniel is second to anything we have experienced. The inn is welcoming, and food is always tasty. We will definitely return anytime we come back!
Rooms: Rooms are very comfortable, cozy, and clean.
Food & drinks: Food and drinks are unique and tasty. Every meal was delicious, care was provided to accommodate our requests.

My husband and I stayed at HCI the last week of the season 2023 and had the most magical experience! Dora was the best host. I truly cannot say enough about Daniels culinary expertise. We had dinner the first night at the Inn and sampled all the small plates. Each dish was cooked to perfection. (Brussels, Fish Bites, Duck wings, and French onion soup) Just wait until you taste the breakfast!! The food here is 5 star. HIGHLY recommend for a cozy fall getaway! We will be back!

My wife Anne and I had a delightful week at HCI.The location is so peaceful, the hospitality so amazing - we felt really cared for during our stay. We preferred the relative quiet of South West Harbor compared to the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Dora and Daniel are outstanding hosts. If there had been a piano in the Inn I may have been staying there stillalas no. Every day since our return home we are enjoying our morning cup of tea in our HCI mugs!
