First time rafting and it was really fun. Our guide, Garrett was fantastic. Super knowledgeable, made sure we all had fun and got out of our comfort zones but did it in a way that we all felt safe. Im someone who gets very cold so I was glad I wore a wet suit. Lunch was fine but if you have special dietary needs, ask if you can bring a lunch. I didnt and I wish I had because it was a long day. All in all, a great experience and one that I would recommend. The scenery was beautiful and its a great way to dorms a day with family and friends and to meet new people.

Amazing trip for the 10 of us! Jason was our guide and was phenomenal! Also, the lunch was amazing! My very picky group of eaters (my family) all cleaned their plates! Chicken, Steak, Veggie Burger, and Rice - all fantastic. Highly recommend!

For a family that has never rafted before we booked the Lower River Half Day experience. Our kids range between ages 10-16, and some of us crave adventure while others get a little see sick. With that RANGE of individuals, our guide Nate was the perfect match. He placed our most adventurous members on the perfect spots in the raft and on the River. He asked what our experience was as well as our expectations. Nate was professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and entertaining. He was able to guide us through an experience we ALL enjoyed and will never forget. If you are open for adventure and not on a schedule (a poor review I read was upset about timing) you will have a blast. Nature (water levels and speed of the River) factor into how long your experience will last. In the end you are in a BEAUTIFUL place on Earth, and even with the down time youll have the opportunity to appreciate the wilds of the Penobscot River.

Such a great place to camp and hang out after a good day on the river. This is the closest camp spot to Baxter state park and we were able to ride our bikes into the park for free from the camp site, very cool.
