WoodSpring Suites West Monroe I-20

Ok first off the whole place smelled like WEED!! Big time!!! And then our floor smelled like someone was cooking a smelly fish that would make you gag!!! The rooms are super big with lots of space for you to move around and also lots of space for you to organize your belongings. They just remodeled at the first of the year so everything is pretty new. I love the color scheme they have going on it makes everything so bright. The only bad thing about the room was that they had not cleaned the floor EVER!! I used 80 count Lysol wipes to wipe the floor because I could see all the dirt and spills everywhere. There were spots under both beds where people had spilled drinks and left them for room service to clean but they didnt clean it up either. At least the bathroom was very clean. I will post pics of the floor and room. All in all if it wasnt for all the dirt it would have been quite a deal to stay here.

We checked in on Friday, March 22nd for a wedding on Saturday, March 23rd. We came back to the room at 3am and our key cards will not work and the number we called kept transferring us and even hung up on us 4 times. Our belongings are still in the room and we can't get in to our room. It is now 5:07am and customer service hasn't helped us. We are looking for a room for a few hours before we supposed to check out for 11am. Our bags are still in the room we paid for but can't enter the building. Nobody is at the front desk of the West Monroe location.

Very outdated. There were spider webs in different places in the room. The young lady at the front desk apologized and refunded me.

Let me start by saying YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Pros: it is located near the interstate with plenty of restaurants and shopping stores nearby. The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms have a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, large microwave, nice size sink, and 2 burner stove. Some upgrades noted such as the floors and kitchen sink faucet. Cons: the walls are paper thin so if you are a light sleeper like myself, you wont get much rest. Even during the day time, you can hear every conversation, other peoples TVs, doors slamming and feet stomping in the rooms above you. The guy next to me had a a nasty, hacking cough that I could hear all throughout the night. Its just constant noise!!! The room APPEARED clean upon arrival but after doing more thorough inspections, there were MANY areas missed. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and in random places all throughout the room like the sink, on the A/C, even found a random hair or 2 in the fridge . I spent nearly an hour cleaning the room after checking in before I felt comfortable touching anything. Even the remote control was grimey and somewhat sticky. The shower head is loose and will likely come out of the wall if you pull too hard while adjusting the shower head. They also have some very strict rules. For example, you have to bring your dirty towels to the front desk in order to get more towels. And you have to pull your own trash when you leave which I found to be kind of odd. They also charge for kitchen supplies such as pots and pans. The AC was noisy and the room furniture looked rather torn and tattered. The bed also looks more like a cot. Overall, if you just need to lay your head somewhere for a night, this isnt a bad option but I would prefer not to stay here again.
