    I had an appointment for a tech visit for 10:30 on Saturday July 30 at this location to have my dog's glucose sensor put in. I have visited this location with this pet before as well as the Metairie location. I arrived at 10:20, a girl came out and told me to "wait I have things going on" before I could check in. 10 minutes later, another pet came in and after waiting about another 5 minutes we were both checked in. That pet was seen by a tech almost immediately, even though the receptionist said they had an 11:00 appointment and would need to wait. At this point, I just continued waiting. Another pet came in at 10:50, 30 minutes after me and was checked in. At 11:00, that pet was called back. I had been waiting there for 40 minutes at this point. So I approached the desk to ask how much longer my wait would be because I just had a tech appointment. The receptionist pointed to the tech (the same one who had treated the second pet to enter 30 minutes prior), who was sitting at the front desk on her cell phone, and told me she didn't know and that's who would be helping me. I said, I have been waiting for 40 minutes just to have my dog's sensor changed and I was told that they were only calling pets back who had "real appointments". A doctor or manager (a woman in navy scrubs) opened the door and said that I was not even a patient and had never been there before so I needed to wait. My dog is 12 years old and has been a client of Pet Care her ENTIRE life, as well as my 15 year old dog. I have been to Pet Care Centers in Metairie, Covington, when it was open, and Slidell. I have NEVER been treated or dismissed by any staff like I was today. My mom has been an employee of the Pet Care in Metairie for 20 years and that location has excellent customer service. I will NEVER be back to the one in Slidell. They are poorly run and lack the customer service skills required to make a business successful. My mom tried calling to speak to a manager, was put on hold for 15 minutes, then the phone "disconnected". She tried calling back several times after that and no one would answer the phone. I also immediately sent an email to the clinic with my complaints and have not heard anything back now 4 days later. This clinic needs a complete revamp.

    It's a shame I only have the option of leaving 1 Star, as opposed to my actual experience of 0 Stars. I was not pleased with the service provided at this location. I brought my sick cat here, and the only remedy was to do a blood test and various other procedures that were not properly explained to me. The only reason the "doctor" even came in the exam room at all, was because I requested to learn more about the $360 recommended tests they automatically wanted to run. It would have been nice if a competent doctor came in the exam room and performed some actual diagnostics on my sick cat, At least narrow down some possible symptoms. But no this complacent location was looking for a quick payday. All I found out from the "doctor" was that my cat was sick. Very helpful. And then when I decided to not move forward with the recommended tests, I was left in the exam room with zero guidance or customer service assistance. I made the unfortunate choice to frequent this establishment during lunch time. As I made the decision to exit the exam room, after it was clear nobody was coming back, I found the entire staff at the front desk, hovering around their to-go food. I brought my sick cat home. I have been keeping an eye on him and doing my own research on his condition. He is doing much better. He is able to eat on his own and he is starting to move around better. I do not recommend this veterinarian at all. If you bring an animal here, I can guarantee no matter what the sickness is, their answer is going to be to do a blood test. It's a lot easier than being an actual doctor and running your own physical on a pet, to find out what may be the problem. This location is what happens when too many of your patients don't ask questions and you allow yourself to become complacent.And also something else that just came to mind. The only reason I brought my sick pet to this location in the first place, was because it was the only one available. All the other reputable vets were booked up. Think about that.
