Awesome staff, great with the kids. They treat the kids like family. They treat the parents like family. Their holiday programs are amazing and enjoyable. I love seeing the kids participate and smile all the time.

I enjoy working at Alton Elementary School! The faculty, staff and administration support one another whole-heartedly in order to help all students achieve to their fullest potential!

Alton Elementary is ABSOLUTELY the best school EVER. I should know, I’ve been 18 years and both of my kids graduated from ALTON ELEMENTARY!!! I requested this school for my kids because I see commitment and hard work of the entire staff every day. We have the BEST students, teachers, parents and staff in the WORLD!!! The 2017-2018 school year was my first year at Alton Elementary School. I too was told negative things about Alton prior to starting the school year, so I was nervous about working there. I am a very positive person, so I started the year off with good vibes. I immediately felt at HOME at Alton. EVERYONE - from the administration, office staff, teachers, paraprofessionals, cafeteria staff, custodians, and the students - they all made me feel like I was part of the TEAM from day one. I truly LOVE being at Alton!! I have student's from Kindergarten through 5th grades, so I am in numerous classes throughout the day. The teachers truly CARE and go ABOVE and BEYOND to help ALL students. The students at this small Slidell school are a blessing to be around. The administration makes an effort each day for the students to have FUN while focusing on LEARNING. Each day starts out with Alton's Creed which reenforces the importance of college and self awareness and responsibility. I am PROUD to be a part of Alton's staff!
