Abney Elementary

This school has been there for my son in so many ways. If your child has special needs this is the place for you. Its a well staffed, clean and wonderful learning environment. Full of school spirit and an understanding many schools are missing now adays. My son is on the spectrum and has attended abney since pre-k. I hear so many horror stories around the area of schools not accommodating children who have needs. Not this place! From the friendly secretaries to the understanding principal, they all knew Ethan and how to help him. His teacher has helped him more than there are words and we will always be grateful to Abney Elementary for all our time there.

The staff at this school is absolutely rude ! They do NOT care about you or your child.My son has been going in this school for three years and the principal and teachers have been so nasty to him.Attitude and even put there hands on him last year.This year he was bullied multiple times on the bus and got off covered in blood ,he is 6 .The school said to me that my son's lieing about someone hitting him and breaking his back pack.Until they checked the cameras they believed him,and instead of kicking the bullies of the freaking bus they told my son to tell me he can't come back on the bus since he can't handle it..SOBASICALLY A 6 YEAR OKD IS SUPPOSE TO HANDLE BEING BULLIED EVERYDAY!!! ???This schools makes me so sick to my stomach.Sick of the staff in the office and just about every in the school are so rude and not welcoming at all.I seen first hand how they handle and scream at the kids.Im so sick of this school I wish it would close.Worst school by far in Slidell area.We are moving soon and I'm so happy my son is getting out of this place.I would not at all put your child in this school .I have had so much happen and they do not take care of anything and try to cover up things that should be known.I rate this the worst school!!!!!!!!!
