Love This School! Mr. Monroe's Legend Continues On Throughout All Of The Instructors And Students Alike. The Respect And Excellent Teaching That Has Been Shown To My Children Throughout The Years Is A Fabulous Example Of Just How Incredible This Place Is. Best Academy On The North Shore. That's For Sure!

My daughter always wanted to learn karate. We tried another school before Art Monroes Tiger Rock but it wasnt a good fit. Some friends told us how great Tiger Rock was, and we gave it a chance. That was four years ago. Our experience at Tiger Rock has far exceeded expectations. Ive watched my daughter, now 11, mature from a fearful little girl into a confident middle-schooler. She looks up to her instructors and is inspired by their positive example, and some of her fellow students have become her best friends.
The school occupies a beautiful space that is always clean and full of light. The cost to attend is reasonable (the other school we visited cost more). We attend classes three days a week, and I enjoy chatting with the parents (great folks) and watching the kids as they develop their skills and test for belts. Losing Art Monroe last year still hurts, but others have stepped up and helped to fill the void. Im grateful for the many lessons my daughter has learned at Tiger Rock. She is a better person because of the schoolmore disciplined and respectful and more considerate of others. Shes proud of herself for working hard and becoming a black belt, so weve seen improvement in her self-esteem. I wish Id enjoyed the gift of studying at Tiger Rock when I was a kid. Theres a lot to recommend this place but the best thing about it is the people.
