    I called on 12/21/20 to book a van rental for my brother and I. I spoke to the representative working the Bossier City location and explained to her the type of vehicle we needed. I shared with her that I was booking well in advance to get the rental because we as a family, with my 86 year mom were using it to attend my nephews wedding on 2/26/21. I sent over all of the necessary documents, license and proof of insurance. The representative assured me we would have the van requested a 2018 white, side assessible Dodge Caravan. She informed me the van was currently out on long term rental , but would be ready and available for the weekend that we reserved it. My brother picked the van up and once it arrived home, we noticed that it was dirty on the inside and the outside. I called the representative at the location informing her of the van being dirty and offered to send pics to prove it. After I sent the pics, I spoke with her and asked if there was any kind of compensation we could get as a result of the van being rented dirty to us. She implied that it may have gotten dirty on the drive down and that could not have happened it was not driven back. She informed me that she could not make that decision and would get with the owner. The owner told her we could get 50 miles or essentially $ 17.50. I told her I would speak to my brother and we both decided this was unacceptable. When my brother dropped the van off the representative appeared to have amnesia, because she treated the closing process for the rental as if everything went smoothly. The quality of service was poor. You should always ask if everything was good with the rental. She was did not, because she already knew there was an issue. Knowing that there was a long term renter in the van, we were leery about the inside cleanliness due to COVID19. The person kept the van up until the time we needed it so the likelihood there were infectious particles left inside is high. We wiped the inside down thoroughly and with Lysol wipes and sprayed in with Lysol spray before loading and riding. I was disappointed in the customer service given to us in this matter. It was substandard and renting out a dirty van was unsafe. When riding in a van you as a customer are bound to touch areas of the van, the door handles, the steering wheel, the radio and conditioner buttons and these are all potential contaminants, if we touched our face, nose or eyes afterwards. We were in a catch 22 and could not return it due to our time frame and previously planned trip. As a consumer we expected more from the company and did not expect our claims to be questioned. The representative at one time during the conversation stated that they do not fully detail all of the vans after each rental and that they were short handed. As a new customer, I searched online for a company that would supply our needs and my initial interactions were good, however the dirty van and the company's lack of empathy failed to meet our expectations. especially in the wake of COVID19 and its contagious effects. I have included some of the pics taken and passed on to the company.
