Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport Bossier City

This room was not great but not awful. My main issue was with the reservations process. I was given a room rate and told what my final price would be--even got an email to reflect that--when I arrived at the hotel they added $100 in pet fees and incidental fees($75/$25) I have never paid incidental fees at a hotel before. I showed the email to the desk and they said essentially we can not honor what our reservation desk says. I am a Hilton Honor member but have never come across this before. DO NOT book here! You will be stiffed at the desk.

Stay here for work, its a convenient place with a good restaurant and great bar. But, its twice that Ive stayed an had to shower with freezing cold water, hopefully management will reach out to maintenance to better serve guests.

If check out time is noon, for what reason should someone be beating on doors at 9 something in the morning? Surely there is a better, less invasive way to count your rooms or determine if others have checked out. How about doors that show occupied when the lock is engaged for starters or perhaps tracking the card that allows access. Additionally, there was no do not disturb card available for display. The apathetic apology from the front desk is poor customer service. It reads as sorry we disturbed the rest you paid for but oh well.

Front Desk staff was courteous--and the chef was also very kind when I ran into him one morning. The Office Center was helpful when I needed to print a speech/script last-minute. Otherwise, the hotel was dated, dark, and I'm not entirely sure the bed had clean sheets. I know that the hotel is under construction--hopefully where I stayed will be reno'd at some point, but in the meantime, I'll find a better Hilton farther outside of town and make whatever drive I need to just to stay in a nicer place. Even the Peloton in the gym was jacked up...it wasn't setup properly and (likely) people who don't know how to change the settings on the bike stripped the screw to adjust the seat Rooms: Dark, dated, & dirty. Not sure all the surfaces get cleaned after every occupant--the phone in the room looked like ot hadn't been wiped down ever.
