I was a walk in this evening because Id been having severe pain in my ears last night and all day today that has only progressively gotten worse. Ive had chronic ear infections my whole life and I know immediately when one comes along, and I expressed that to everyone I saw at this location. My visit started off well, I was seen shortly after I checked in and Margarita was wonderful with me and very receptive and kind when I spoke to her. However, when it came around for Dr. Nelly to see me, my visit took a sour turn. Im a hard of hearing woman who relies on hearing aids and lip reading to communicate and with the pressure and pain in my ears I wasnt wearing them and my hearing is much worse at the moment because of it. Dr. Nelly came in wearing a mask, which I understand, but when I expressed that I needed to see her lips to understand her, (as I already struggle enough to hear even without a blockage) she was completely unreceptive to it and rude about it and it absolutely ruined the visit for me. I came in towards the end of the day and I could very much tell that I was rushed and she was ready for the day to be over. Weve all been there, a long day at work? I completely understand. But regardless of that, I did not take kindly to the way she treated me during my visit and my pain was WORSE by the time the visit was over. Not only was she rude and insensitive towards my hearing disability & severe pain, she also showed disdain when I expressed what I needed. She has also seemed to misdiagnose me due to her rushing, as I do not feel I have a respiratory infection but a completely different infection in my ear canals that is making it difficult to do much of anything. (Which Im very familiar with because of my chronic ear infections.) I enjoyed this location, but I do not wish to see Dr.Nelly as my provider again and that deters me from wanting to visit this location in the future. I will follow her instructions and take my prescriptions, but I am dissatisfied with this visits service and overall review of my pain management and general diagnosis; and will likely go elsewhere for a second opinion- particularly a doctor that will treat my disability with consideration and care.
