I had a terrible experience with Dr. Abdul Haq's clinic (Metro Urgent Care) and would not recommend it to anyone. The doctor runs the clinic entirely on his own and is overworked. When I took my father to see him at 10 am, we had to wait for approximately 30 minutes before being seen. The wait time was not long. After the consultation, the doctor did not communicate his findings and prescription. He then engaged in a phone call and we were left waiting for his advice. He talked about a real estate investment while we were there, which was unprofessional. The way he handled patient information, including social security numbers and insurance, was insecure and could lead to identity theft. He promised to send the prescription to our designated CVS within two hours, but when we went to pick it up in the evening, it was not there. We tried calling the doctor several times and had no success. We drove to the clinic and found a notice on the door directing us to call a different phone number. After leaving several voice messages, the doctor finally responded. He did not apologize and lied to my face, claiming he had given us a paper prescription. When I told him he hadn't, he simply said 'okay'. It was clear to me that he was more concerned with making money than providing quality healthcare. It is concerning that he continues operating his clinic in this manner, as he risks his patients' well-being. I believe he mainly targets patients with Medicaid insurance and those with language barriers. As a responsible Louisville resident, I felt compelled to share my experience with others who may be considering visiting this clinic.
