I was helping my daughter shop for a new mattress. My husband and I bought our first mattress from Bowles in 1991. We had that mattress for over 20 years. I appreciate Bowles' quality and reliability. The sales agent in the store was very helpful, even though we were not planning to purchase that day. Bowles is locally-owned manufacturer of matressess -- in Kentuckiana.

I purchased a Hybrid Mattress from the Bowles Mattress Springhurst store in May,2019. I gave ample time to "breakin" the mattress...and in July I went into the store to tell them that the mattress was nowhere near as comfortable as the one in the store. Also, I told them that the mattress was very hot to sleep on and that I woke up in a sweat every morning and also with a backache. I spoke with the customer service rep (John) on that same day and he told me that he would contact the factory to see what my options were and would call me back......well.......it's now the end of December,2019........I have never heard from customer service again!.......The mattress is one of the very worse that I've ever slept on.....and the Bowles customer service is non existing.......If I didn't have $1800.00 invested in the mattress....I would throw it out in the yard!......now I fully understand why Bowles doesn't allow any returns if you don't like their mattress!.....buyer beware!!
