The Brown Hotel

If this review is helpful to you, please make sure you give it a like .I absolutely love these old grand hotels. Especially when they are taken care of and kept up to date and clean. The Brown Hotel did not disappoint. Beautifully furnished lobbies and gorgeous rooms. The bed slept well, and the hot water was wonderful in the shower. They also have four premium channels of Showtime. There is plenty of light in the room. This is downtown Louisville KY. I would definitely recommend it

No room service. Check in, bar and dining room all in the same room. Very noisy. Very limited menu. Would not recommend.

When we arrived In Louisville, I read a book in our air bnb about a dish invented here called The Hot Brown. It sounded just strange enough to work and I talked about it further days, hyping it up to Lillian when she arrived. Well, after awards we headed to The Brown Hotels beautiful historic lobby bar & enjoyed a hot brown right where it was first created. I got a petite one, Tj went for the full deal. Deliciously interesting?!? They shared the recipe on a post card I picked up, Ill have to try to cook it for Kentucky Derby weekend! -Marisa Balletti-Lavoie

The Brown Hotel was an amazing stay while spending time with friends. The staff made you feel so welcome it truly felt like you had know all of them for years. I mean all of the them not just one person. It was each person from the minute we checked in, the person at the front desk, the valet, the restaurant manager, bartender and even the folks helping to keep our room clean. I would truly recommend this hotel while in Louisville for the history, comfortable stay and fantastic food. Rooms: The rooms are spacious and very nice. They have a historic feel with good views. Food & drinks: The Cafe' is fantastic. The staff were so nice and the food fantastic, try the "Hot Brown" it was so good but bring your appetite.
