Appallingly bad customer service but more importantly criminal yields for CDs and savings accounts. Feds Funds rate is currently 5.5% and Republic is stealing from their customers by offering 2% CDs.

I used to come into this bank and cash checks, sometimes over a grand. Hand them the check, they hand me the money. Didn't even need an ID, the tellers knew me. Great service, and I originally chose them because they are locally owned. Now because I don't have "overdraft protection" - where they can charge me a bunch of overdraft fees rather than denying a transaction - they won't do that. Have to deposit it - then I can walk outside and use an ATM to withdraw funds. Ridiculous. Jill should be fired. I guess they would rather have a different company process my mortgage and handle my Roth IRA in a couple of months. Old National it is.

Be careful when doing a 2nd mortgage. The amount was said to be no issue and "could definitely do it" before I spent countless hours for weeks gathering all my financial and credit information for the application. The appraisal was never sent to me. No one ever contacted us or came in my home. The appraisal was about 80K less than my re-fi by Fifth Third over 1 year ago, 122K less than Zillow, and $133 less than Trulia. How ridiculous.

I have visited the St. Matthews branch many, many times. Nine times out of ten I have found the employees distracted and unfriendly. One employee has been kind an attentive, Michael. I would change banks but this branch is at the end of my street.
