Bedside manner is completely awful. Not someone I would want to cut me open (although he seems like a good surgeon). Spoken with many who have left his practice for better doctors in different states and I will be doing the same. Duncan pics and chooses the cases he wants to take. He has wasted months of my time and caused me to get worse.

Dr Duncan replaced both of my husband's knees. He did a great job and has taken very good care of him. We are so pleased with his outcome and highly recommend him to anyone needing a joint replacement!

Dr. Duncan did my knee six years ago and I have had no issues with it . He for sure has the patience of a saint because I had plenty of questions prior and after the surgery as well. I had my surgery done at Good Sam& the care I received there was outstanding . He came to check on me during the course of my three day stay at the hospital. For me the biggest thing was that he's a sports ortho & is use to dealing with athletes as I am one myself. He told me I'd be able to go back to my active life style after surgery. And he wasn't lying . I was able to go back to running and skiing without being in pain. If I ever have to do my right knee I'll be going to Dr. Duncan for that one (Hopefully I'll never have to do it though.) The key to recovery for me was eating a high protein high fiber diet for the first six weeks. Physical therapy is so important you have to do it . Having surgery just is not enough and you'll only get what you put into your recovery.

Dr. Duncan performed arthroscopic surgery on my left and right hip 6 weeks apart for femoroacetabular impingement with labrum tears. He done a tremendous job on both hips.

First, Im going to start off with the good stuff because who doesnt like the good news first! Dr. Duncan is a very knowledgeable surgeon. I had a very complex case on both hips and he knew almost immediately how he could fix it. His medical knowledge is the only reason this man deserves more than zero stars and to be honest, if I could give him zero I would but I dont want to be unfair. The radiology department was amazing and the front desk staff that I met were so nice and welcoming! Now onto the not so fun stuff. Dr. Duncans bedside manner was absolutely non-existent. He called my husband after both of my surgeries and spoke to him for maybe 40 seconds, no details other than I was fine and I was in post op and then he abruptly ended the calls. My husband had a procedure in the height of Covid and his surgeon met me in a conference room and we talked for almost an hour and it was a very minor procedure. Dr. Duncan couldnt even give him the time of day, nor did I see him until 1-2 pm the following day which I thought was excessive as any patient would want to know how surgery went. I didnt have a great experience after my first hip surgery in July 2023 due to his lack of care post-operatively but due to his knowledge and my complexity of a case, I went back to him to have my right hip replaced in Dec 2023 and he promised hed do better as far as pain control, switching up medications to find ones that did work and just general post-op care. That didnt happen. When he saw me in pre-op holding before my second surgery, he asked how my left hip was feeling; I told him it was hurting pretty significantly and he shrugged at me turned around and didnt say another word and walked out. I should have just gotten dressed and went back home because I had a feeling he wasnt going to change. After surgery, Dr. Duncans staff told me to take two pills every eight hours for pain as 1 didnt work but didnt change the prescription on the bottle so I obviously ran out earlier than I was suppose to and had gone a day without meds thinking I could handle it until I was due again. I called the clinic a week post op crying on the phone in pain because I ran out of my medications and couldnt handle the pain anymore and my heart rate was in the 160s and my physical therapist was telling me to go to the ER for medicine because my vitals were getting too high; his nurse, Amber told me its all in your head, its just your anxiety and refused to send in another refill so I ended up in the ER for fluids and pain medications and a day of observation because my vitals were so high on admission. Fast forward to my 6 week appointment; I cancelled it because I had no interest in playing his games anymore but at 10 weeks post op I was still having a lot of pain so I agreed to come in. He did x-rays (like he always does - no other scans offered) and told me the placement was fine, offered no advice for the pain I was feeling so I started crying in his office because I have never felt so frustrated and helpless in my life and he turns around and says I dont know what else you want me to do, its not like you have cancer and told me he believes I need to seek cognitive behavioral therapy for my anxiety.. The only anxiety Im feeling is the fact that Im 28 years old and cant barely leave my house. I have zero quality of life and my surgeon who is suppose to help me has gaslit me since the day I met him. These surgeries have affected my ability to be a mother, wife, friend, sister, employee, etc. I came to him to fix me and I feel like he broke me and doesnt even have the decency to sympathize. If I wouldve known what I know now I NEVER would have let him touch me. Ive already filed a grievance against him, however, I wanted to make this post as a warning to all other past, present and future patients of his. These surgeries are very painful and the right post-op care and pain control is so important for continued healing. Please dont stop advocating for yourselves!
