I had tib/fib fractures and Dr. Burandt ended up as my surgeon. He had to put a rod and several screws in place and after about 7 days in the hospital I was supposed to go to Cardinal Hill before going home and he said he would stop by and check on me before I left. He never came. The splint on my leg was twisted and when I got to Cardinal the doc there tried repeatedly to reach him to ask about it and he did answer or call back for several days. By the time he did call back the therapists at Cardinal Hill had mercy on me and cut the thing off because not only was it twisted but it wasn't flexed enough. After the hospital when I went to his office for visits all he did was gripe at me for smoking and did not get me a bone stimulator after months and months of not healing. He had me waking on it way way way too soon and because of that I've had to have more surgeries. Finally I got a new orthopedic surgeon and I'm so glad I did. I should've sued him but I didn't. I regret that. Just had the whole ankle reconstructed because of him . I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
