Hilton Lexington/Downtown

Bad experience on this trip with construction waking us up way before our alarm should have. Lack of caring from hotel staff. Hilton is usually a good stay.

When I checked in I was told my room came with free breakfast, a 20 credit at the bar and a 15 dollar food and beverage credit. I purchased one drink at the bar and tipped the bartender the remaining balance of my credit and the next morning went to breakfast. The breakfast was cold at 8 am and honestly if it was warm it probably wouldnt have made much of a difference. I was billed for the breakfast and the drink at the bar I was told I had a credit for. I contacted the hotel to have this corrected, the very rude person who answered more or less called me a liar and said the manager would call me back which never happened. I contacted Hilton who did their best to rectify the charges however although the hotel credited my payment method, they also charged me again and I have no idea for what. Im guessing they think Im too dumb to notice another charge because of the credit. I would never stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

Dated and smells like cigarette smoke. We had double rooms and both smelled like smoke.

They are going through a remodel but everything was still accessible.

Pictures of the hotel from website were nicer than the room, the room did serve its purpose tho. And..its right in the Square in Lexington so I imagine a lot of traffic wears down the hotels quicker. Great view out of our window. Saw the arena and a bunch of stores lit up, view of the park too. Room felt warm/hard to get it cold in there even at 70 degrees. Some construction going on in middle of hotel which they post about on the website but didnt affect any of our plans. The pool was very warm and it had lights, so it looked beautiful just like the website pics. There is a shower room there but the water was cold only, never got warm. We had stayed in another Hilton hotel a few days earlier, but this room was much more expensive but with less- room was smaller, no microwave, and fridge was smaller. When we were leaving to go explore one day, there was an enormous cockroach in front of the room door diagonal from ours. We told the cleaning lady we saw in the hall and the woman at the front desk- they didnt seem to care much. So overall- great location and the pool were the biggest pros for us .
