    1. Nurse searched my phone at intake. 2. On a separate occasion someone walked into intake with cuts down their arms, they were dripping blood on the floor, and the security guard said "she should've cut deeper" and laughed about it to one of the nurses.

This is my mothers account. I went to the trillium due to trying to commit suicide. This place is beyond awful they forced me to stay for 4 nights and I was in. withdrawals so severe I thought I was dying and the nurses were rude and awful and would not give me anything to help me. They mocked me and made rude jokes. They treated me as a child and told me I was seeking attention. I cried every night I felt as if they were going to let me die and didnt care at all. A few nurses did but most did nothing. Worst experience of my life. Im worried for the people who arent coherent or able to stand up for themselves. I pray you or your children never have to suffer like this. Send them anywhere but here. Im not even going to go into detail about all that happened. 0/10. Im never going back I got no help what so ever

I have been to the Trillium center 2 times back to back for suicide attempts, Dr. Bishop was almost impossible to reach or talk to during my time staying there, not only as a patient but my mother was not able to speak to him once. These people are severely understaffed, and the nurses did not know how to properly handle patients. I was the oldest there, I was the most high functioning there, I was accused of lying and seeking attention by Dr. Bishop, I gave up on my treatment there and became very cold and unwilling to work with him. If I, as one of the most functioning people there, were treated so poorly... Only God knows how younger patients are treated. I knew right from wrong, and the way I was treated, WAS WRONG. This place is just a middle ground for when they don't know what to do with you in-between foster homes. Dr. Bishop made jokes about me not taking enough pills for when I attempted to overdose, as a way to see how I would react, to see how I was coping. This is NEVER an appropriate way to deal with trauma, especially when you're dealing with kids who WILL lie and say whatever to get out of there, I am NOT a liar or seeking attention just because I didn't take my own overdose seriously (because I couldn't even properly process my own trauma.) If you care about your kids, don't take them here. They take advantage of the fact that most of the kids there don't know when they are being treated poorly, and it is SICKENING. After suicide attempts, they normally will keep you for a week or more, this was not the case with my 2nd attempt, because they did not believe me. I have been scared to go to hospitals ever since, this has ruined my perception of the healthcare system in our state, and I am more than disappointed, but overall scared for the future of the children that are in there.

This place was terrible and very traumatic only help I really got was myself and some patients i was major uncomfortable and they had bed bugs and claimed to get rid of them but my roommate got bit multiple times and we notified the nurses they claimed it was a bee and no where did we once see or hear a bee , they made us go back to our rooms. Also the first night I cried , they got angry with me and they threatened to restrain me and give me a shot ,once again because I was crying ALSO,I was trying to sleep in my room at night after 11 and a man who was detoxing walked in my room and left as soon as I woke up if I didnt wake up ,that man could have done anything ! And I told the nurses and they made it seem like it wasnt a big deal and said we have eyes on the camera!Im not trying to bash anyone who works there but something definitely needs to be changed! People should feel Safe at a mental hospital we were all there for reasons and adding trauma to that doesnt help at all.also I seen my therapist once and doctor twice and that was for less then 10 minutes
