I was supposed to receive a call to pick up my loved ones cremains at the funeral home. I received a slip from the post office asking me to sign for a package. Thinking it was a care package from my aunt, I went to the post office only to find that I was signing for my loved ones cremains instead. This rocked me to my core as I am still coping with the shock of my loved ones sudden passing. This was not the way I envisioned picking up her remains. It was a horrible experience. When I called Capital City to discuss they were incredibly cold and business-like. Not at all the compassion I was expecting. I absolutely would not recommend their services.

My hospital contacted Capital City Mortuary to pick up a patient who had expired. During the interaction with the transporters they were incredibly rude, and unprofessional. They were very disrespectful with the patient leaving her in the hall while they were waiting for paperwork. This paperwork the mortuary company usually provides in every other situation weve encountered ,which thankfully isnt often, the company that requires the paperwork and signatures provides the paperwork. The transporter stated we shouldnt tell him how to do his job and said he would just wait right in the hallway with the expired patient. It is breakfast time and other patients are up, families and many other people around. He was asked to please take the patient back into the room until the paperwork issue could be resolved. Thankfully the family was gone at this time or I feel they wouldnt have released their loved one to this company.
