Even though people have complained about the move out process I found them to be very fair. I did a through job cleaning the apartment, but I missed a few small details. Even so, I received my full deposit back. The Briarwood community is wonderful, quiet and all great neighbors. Your located within walking distance to grocery, restaurants, gyms, parks, trails, and a lot more. I really enjoyed my time living there and would still be there if I hadn't bought a home.

I've lived at Briarwood for 3 years now and I do really like the apartments. We started out in a 2 bedroom and eventually moved into a 1 bedroom, but both floor plans have A LOT of space! The complex is nice, the property manager Terri has been super accommodating, and all of the maintenance workers have been very friendly and quick to get the job done. There is a mix of tenants, in terms of age, but it's overall a quiet community where mostly everyone is very friendly! And for those that take the bus, it's right off the bus route going to campus and downtown. They are raising the prices this year, but compared to other places in the area, the price is pretty good for the amount of space you get. But there are some downfalls to the place. 1) The windows have been a big issue for us. They aren't sealed correctly, so in the winter the apartment(s) get very cold, unless you run the heat constantly or use a window shrink film (but the double-sided tape does not stick to the paint very well). And when you put the film up, you can see how poor the seal around the window is because the film billows from all the wind leaking through. 2) The walls are thin. You can most certainly hear your neighbors talking, but it's not so thin to hear details of the conversation. Which, if you have animals that aren't the best at inside voices, it could be an issue. 3) The gym is not free. You have to pay for it and from what I see the equipment is very old and outdated. 4) You pay a pet deposit and monthly pet rent, but there is no pet area and no bags supplied around the complex. 5) While not a huge deal, the landscaping is frustrating. There are trees planted right outside some apartments that produce this red berry and if you step on them, it will stain your carpet. They also water the grass a lot (I think 3x a day in the summer) so it grows super fast but they only will cut it once a week. I hope this helps you with your decision to move to Briarwood! Like I said it is a great place with great employees, but all apartments have some downfall! (If you've found one that doesn't, let me know)

Be aware. The staff are mostly nice until you move out! They are ruthless and most likely will not give you your deposit back. I know a handful of people who cleaned for hours and hours and were still charged hundreds of dollars for cleaning fees at move out. We are already very clean and we cleaned for 60 hours at move out and were still charged $60 for small amounts of residue from the cleaner we used (it was barely visible to the human eye). Also, be ready for random emails with all caps sent to all the residents because the office person wants all of the residents to know shes angry at one of the residents for something.
