Dr Z. has been caring for our dog, Wally, since we adopted him a few years ago. We adopted Barkley just over a year ago and so she now provides care for both. Her practice is very holistic. It addresses everything from their temperament to their physical needs to making sure their diets get addressed in the best possible way. I know that our dogs are getting the best care and it fills me with joy to know that. The fact that she comes to our home makes it very convenient. I am so happy that she practices in the Des Moines Metro. We are blessed to have her in our state, and as our vet!

I can’t say enough about Dr. Z and her holistic approach. Conventional vet medicine could only offer a very expensive trip to Iowa State for my Morkie’s eye emergency. A careful exam and holistic approach brought resolution within a week without having to make that trip. Thank you Idyllic Paws! My puppies love you!!

Our puppy, Lilliana was diagnosed with distemper by an out-of-state ER vet. When we contacted our puppys regular vet, they would not provide any care for her. Feeling abandoned, I reached out to Dr. Z who was willing to help! We are so thankful Dr. Z comes to our house so were not exposing Lilliana to more germs with an already lowered immune system and if she is still infectious, not exposing other dogs to a possibly deadly disease. While our puppys case is difficult and is abnormal for the disease, Dr. Z is up for the challenge and I cant think of any other vet in the area that can match her knowledge, skills, and variety of treatment options that may potentially help with this disease. Dr. Z has been very responsive and explains everything in a way I understand as well as accepting symptoms I report seeing. While I dont know what the outcome will be for Lilliana, I feel she has the best chance with Dr. Z. Thank you, Dr. Z for caring for Lilliana!

Love that this is a holistic service as it is rare in the area, however the service is not good. The vet was super rude to both me and my pet and rushed out of there due to having a bad day. Id rather have you cancel my appointment than waste my time and money and treat my animal like sh*t. Not to mention in the high of a pandemic and flu season the vet does not wear a mask. Response time is slow and this place is unprofessional and unethical. I will be taking my pet elsewhere.
