Dr. Nicolas W. Shammas received his combined Master of Science-Doctor of Medicine (MS-MD) degrees at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, NY in 1994. He returned to the University of Iowa, Division of Cardiology where he was a Fellow Associate in Interventional Cardiology.
