Dr. Peter J Sharis, M.D.

I called to leave the doctor a message. I took Beta Block before in South Carolina and had to be take off of it but the nurse is insisting that I continue to take it without talking to the doctor. I only in the first place agreed to take it after moving here and seeing Dr.Sharis for the first time because I thought it might be a new Beta Block and I might be able to handle it but after he has cut my doses in half and another over a month of taking it I am still having headaches, dizziness, extreme fatigue and now weight gain. After a long conversation and arguing back and forth why I am not going to take it because I tried and it didnt work. I said ok. What else could I say. She absolutely was not going to relay my problem to my doctor. She says to me just take it at bedtime so I can see if I can feel better during the day. She did not talk to the doctor and expected me with all my side effects to continue to take a medicine that makes me sicker??????

He is the best heart dr ever! He is so intelligent and really helps. Looks throughly into new things and gives you the best opportunity at life

Dr Sharis is a great heart dr and saved my husbands life several times they dont come any better.

I have only seen Dr. Sharis for yearly checkups since I moved to the area after I had a heart attack. The reason for just 3 stars is the past 2 years I have had an EKG done in his office and during the approximately 3 minutes he spent with me he never mentioned the results. I am assuming the EKG was within normal limits but it would have been nice if he had told me. Dr. Sharis manner is rushed, and is barely courteous. I just hope if I have any additional heart problems his knowledge, skills and abilities greatly outshine his personal skills with his patients.

Peter Sharis "WAS" my dad's doctor. I say was because my dad died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 because Dr. Sharis didn't take the time to listen to my father and treat him properly. My father died in his sleep at age 67 of congestive heart failure according to the coroner. He had been complaining of swelling, coughing, fainting and could not catch his breath. He had rapid weight gain and all they did was adjust his medications. When my father met with Dr. Sharis, he spent no more than 8 minutes examining him and was off. My dad died, and maybe that was in his cards, but He suffered and was not given the treatment he deserved and paid for. He had wonderful insurance and yet the system and doctors failed him. If the doctors had cared enough to really listen to my father he would have taken better course of treatment and my dad would be alive today. You took away an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many people Dr. Sharis, not sure how many hearts you fix in a day but you broke a lot of hearts this week by not doing your job. I had to give one star because the systems makes you rate the doctor. He isn't worth a star
