The Lodge Hotel & Conference Center

That place was the worst place i have ever stayed. The rooms smelled like mold there was mold in the pool bathrooms and pool rooms and in my room bathroom. The wallpaper was peeling everywhere. I was afraid of the bed and sheets after everything i have seen there. The place looked good from a distance but when you get close you realize its in bad shape. The shingles are falling off the roof. That always makes me nervous when walking into the building so you don't catch one in the head. Not to mention the hotel staff was rude and not helpful at all. All in all i would definitely recommend another place to stay. I now know the good reviews on this page probably belong to the staff of the hotel.

What a Disappointment! 2 Day Construction Seminar and had a Hotel Room with Stained Sheets, Patched Ceilings & Walls, No Hot Water for the Shower, Opened Window at Night for air, No Screen Awoke to a Pigeon Staring at us through the Eave!! Then the Restaurant was closed and the Bar was closed for Violation! UNREAL!! Have pictures to prove.

I booked through Priceline but not able to post a review there. The room is musty smelling. The bath and sheets are clean but the carpet and mattresses are questionable. No bedspread or comforter on the bed. The blankets are quite ancient. I remember having blankets (cheap, polyester fabric) like these in the 1970s which these are probably that old. Wi-fi is no good, when it did connect it was excruciatingly slow. When I went to call the desk about this I found that the phone was not connected. The TV is small and old as well. $9 for breakfast buffet for the same reheated eggs, potatoes, etc. you get from most hotels complimentary. There was free coffee available. The after hours entry was open. There is a card reader on the door but it is disabled. On a positive we checked out after one night and were only charged for that. Moved to the Ramada across the street and are quite comfortable on the bedding from this century, using the Wi-fi and watching a new tv.

So, when you walk in it looks cool. However, the whole place smelled like mold, there was mold in the bathrooms by the pool, and the wall in the elevator literally moved when my daughter leaned on it. I was moved here because where I booked was overbooked, and was willing to deal with all this and the crappy showers, the fact my family had to be moved and doors replaced because they wouldn't unlock, there were no comforters on the bed, and half of us had to hot water. However, what I could not deal with was them charging me $50 because they claim I smoked in their rooms. No proof, nothing found in the room, and I know this because we did not smoke because my husband JUST quit smoking! Vapor cigs yes, but smoking NO! So aside from a crappy hotel, the staff is apparently dishonest or crazy.

I booked a room with this hotel based on the beautiful pictures and descriptions on their website. What a disappointment! We were so disgusted with the dingy atmosphere, filthy and dilapidated state of the room and lobby, that we asked for our money back and left. How does this hotel have a 3 star rating???
