I applied for help and when I applied I was told by my landlord that I pay gas and electric so that's what I put on my application but when I found out that I really pay only electric and water I asked if I could just get help on the electric and not the gas. I was told that they couldn't do that, that basically they would only help me if I had both gas and electric. And that they couldn't take the gas part off. It doesn't make sense to me that they wouldn't just help with my electric after I was honest with them and told them that my landlord changed what bills I pay. So if you ask for help make sure that what bills you pay don't change after you've turned your application in or they probably won't help you
