US #1364 Federal Credit Union

Ive been with US Federal since the early 2000s and things has changed drastically. I have noticed the unfriendly nature has changed and it almost feels as if youre a bother. I wanted to cash a personal check from college and the teller at the Merrillville and Gary branch treated me as if I was a thief to the point I was literally in tears.

I recently tried to get some time sensitive information from this credit union, and I was given two different emails, I called a third time and the phone rang once and abruptly hung up in my face. I will discontinue my service with this establishment as soon as possible. This was rude and unprofessional.

I have been at this credit union nearly 10 years. The customer service has really gone down the hill. The tellers aren't friendly anymore. In fact, they have attitudes. I could ignore that. But I can't ignore them mistakenly keeping my ID and having to return and get it, and more recently, a new teller didn't deposit my check correctly. She turned it into a cashier's check. Then she tried to correct it and deposited the money into my checking instead of savings. They didn't notify me and I didn't discover this until weeks later. I spoke with the manager and she basically said the teller is new...I pulled all of my money out and only keep the bare minimum in. The trust is gone.
