I had a very difficult morning last Saturday. My 13.5 y/o sweet and beautiful seal point, Siamese kitty, Kiki passed. I took her to Noah's Emergency Center at 56th & Emerson and the staff could not have been any more caring, informative, and patient with me to try to figure out if she could be healed. Brandon met me at the door immediately to assess the urgency and was very kind and friendly. I had conversations with Dr. Hartman and Hannah explaining Kiki's situation and then they put together a detailed list of alternatives. Dr. Hartman and Hannah patiently talked through all of them. I felt very comfortable in understanding the situation and truly believe they helped me reach a very challenging, but the most humane, decision I spent quite a bit of time with Hannah, who also has 2 Siamese kitties, and it was very clear that she really, really cared for me and Kiki. It was clear to me that she has a passion for what she does and is a very kind and caring person. At the end as I was sadly going to the car, Mackenzie brought me out a case with Kiki's paw imprints in it. A very sweet gesture and reminder. The staff at Noah's could not have done a better job and I highly recommend Noah's. Thank you to the staff for helping me through a tough time.

My dog was seen here Friday now my dog was really bad at this time for 2 days and they put him on oxygen and seen him for almost 300$ said he needed surgery but they needed to get him stable first because he probably wouldnt survive surgery then said everything he needed could cost between 8-10,000$ (my dog had been seen by my vet and had an X-ray and they found water on his lungs which they said could be pneumonia said his heart is slightly enlarged and his liver was slightly large as well)i had told the vet and tech I couldnt afford 10,000 but my max on the care card I applied for I said my max I could afford was 3,000 well then they started mentioning putting my dog down and said he wouldnt survive the night then I almost agreed to put him down but changed my mind I just couldnt so I go back and see my baby big and he kinda perked up then she said he might survive another day but definitely not more than that well my dog is doing great hes now eating and drinking and licking me so Im writing this post to let people know that just because a vet tells you to put your dog down that hes not going to make it dont listen I prayed and my dog is doing so much better Im just so glad I didnt go through with what was suggested by there vet now the care he received there seemed okay I mean he just received oxygen on a gurney and I was just talked to about our options and that cost almost 300$ but Im just so thankful I have more time with my baby boy and heres his picture today hes doing so much better on his antibiotics and prayers but I kept him on oxygen for 2 days but here we are Tuesday 4 days after our visit at the animal hospital

I will not be returning. My puppy tested positive for parvovirus and the veterinarian informed me that my furry baby is not going to make it, which has left me deeply saddened, despite my puppy surviving the illness.Plus this vet is mad expensive!

I have waited to write this review for about a week... Our cat Arlo had his last visit at Noah's Animal Hospital on 03/29. Deciding to end his suffering was the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life. The staff and doctors/techs at Noah's were more compassionate and helpful than I ever could have imagined. Though we had hoped Arlo would pass in our home, we were not able to accommodate that...But Noah's made it as comfortable and peaceful as possible. The treatment and care we received was extraordinary given the circumstances. Not only did they support Arlo in his last moments, our previous visit to the emergency room with him was affordable and gave him several months of comfort before his decline. We have decided to move all of our veterinary care to Noah's for our other pets. They really, really care about our fur babies and their family. I'm forever grateful for the support and care they offered.

Good morning, Jean...first, let me say that we are so happy that your pup is doing better and that you were able to continue his care at his regular veterinarian. That always makes us smile. While I can certainly understand your concern about being told euthanasia can be considered, it is important to remember that part of our job is to make recommendations and options that work not only for the pet, but the whole family. If your pup was in a state where it was perceived he was suffering and treatment was not an option, humane euthanasia would be appropriate. It's good to know that he is responding to treatment and that you were able to find help.I don't see your name listed in our database and I don't see a pet that matches your description of concerns listed on our emergency list. Can I ask you to please email me your pet's name and the listed owner's name so that I can look into this for you further? My email is [email protected]. We do appreciate the feedback and I would love to know more about your visit. ~Tom

Good morning, Nayely...it's so good to hear that Prince was able to survive parvovirus...so many pups don't! I think his age and size helped greatly. Treating canine parvovirus, even with the new medications that are available, can be costly, often requires several days of hospitalization and iv fluids to combat dehydration and sepsis, and still comes with the risk of the pup not surviving. That's why we constantly remind folks about the importance of vaccination in younger pups.Just like there is no guarantee that all hospitalized pups survive, there isn't anything that says a pup cared for at home won't survive. Some do, as you have shown, but the odds are usually against them. Again, Prince's age was definitely worked in his favor and I think the recommendations the team gave you for at home care, along with the medications that were prescribed, certainly helped as well. I am sorry that you didn't perceive the value of the services our team provided for you, but we are all happy that Prince was one of the lucky ones. We wish him the very best for his future. ~Tom
