I just wanted to leave a review in case there was someone out there debating whether to not to see someone here. This location is very quiet and low key. Tucked in the back of a building with lots of various professional suites, it's not overwhelming or insanely busy. It's great for anyone! If you struggle with anxiety, a lot and the atmosphere here is calming. Ellie's suite is spacious, cozy, clean, and very chill. If you are considering seeing someone, I encourage you to prioritize yourself and your wellbeing! It can be difficult to admit sometimes that we are struggling, because traditionally struggle = weakness/brokenness/unsuccessful. That is not the case! The world is very very difficult to navigate for all of us! Especially if you've experienced trauma, if your mind functions differently than most people, or even if you're under incredible stress...please understand, you are not less of a human being or unworthy. It's smart and resourceful to get the help from people who want to help you be a better you. My counselor is kind and reassuring and he's asked me great questions that I've had to spend time thinking about. I like this group a lot and I've been to a lot of counselors in my life. Even the gentleman I spoke to on the phone when I called was such a professional and caring person.
