Sears Heating and Air Conditioning

Ordered 64,000 grain Aquasure water softener system from Sears. The control head and bypass valve leak like a sieve! Teflon tape, changing O-rings, and tightening did not stop the leaks. The problem is that the Control Head inlet and outlet provide insufficient support for the bypass valve. I replaced the Aquasure control head and bypass with a Hydrotech head and bypass. Voila, no leaks! Called Sears to return Aquasure head and bypass, but the Aquasure rep would not even listen to me. He said that their head and bypass weren't worth refurbishing and told me to throw them away. This says a lot about what they think of their own equipment. He is sending another head and bypass that I won't use. My advice is call a local water Softener company and buy their equipment and have them install it. You'll save a lot of time, money, and frustration

I had a rough one trying to communicate what i needed in terms of parts to the person on the phone. She kept interrupting me with things she could or couldn't do for me.
