If you are looking refinance your mortgage and end up paying more per month, Interfirst is the place for you. Not only will you have to submit the same paperwork multiple times, and get strung out over the approval process, they wont even read the paperwork you fill out, so it is easier for them to mess up everything about your mortgage! Like property taxes, who pays attention to those? Not Interfirst. A few months after refinancing, I started getting delinquent tax notices from the county. After weeks of trying to figure it out, there was a shortage in my escrow account because the property tax figured into my mortgage was about 50% what it should have been. I was told no problem, well send the tax $ and nothing will change, it was just an error in the data entry. At that time, I asked if we could fix my payment amount so this doesnt happen again. Nope nothing will change, youre payment will stay the same it was our mistake. Wow, ok great. Year goes by, more delinquent tax notices show up all I start the process over again. Now Im told the mortgage is in control of Service Mac, so theyll do their own review of my escrow situation and figure it out. So since Interfirst never adjusted the original escrow payment, they wanted me to pay the lump sum of the difference that they didnt add into my mortgage payment throughout the entire duration of my mortgage to that point. I explain everything, with my communications and emails from the previous years issue, and after weeks of waiting, calling, searching for the right person to help me, they decided they messed up and Im responsible for it. I have to pay the amount they didnt figure correctly, even though I did my part with completing all necessary paperwork they required to complete and finalize the refinance. Now, if they said from now on youll have a new payment amount, I can live with that. But making me pay back 3k in past property tax bills for their mistake, all while not working with me at all and treating me like I didnt understand what was going on absolute joke. I wish I could screw up my job then call the customer back and tell them they owe me $3k for my mistake Moral of the story, if youd like to be apart of the worst investment possible and go from 5+% interest to under 3% with the same total year amount, and still pay more monthly, then call Interfirst! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Great company to work with. Even though there was a slight confusion at the beginning with my rate lock, they were able to fix it and provide me an awesome first time home buyer closing experience and kept in constant communication quickly. Thanks Nicholas and Porsha!

Bait-n-switch. They oversell and cant deliver. Wouldnt waste my time with these people. They will drag you along for weeks only to pull the plug last minute. Went to my backup and got the deal done within days. Same rate, no hassle.
