I started a new job. Deposited my first check via mobile, got it in 48 hours. My next check, I Deposited at the bank's ATM. Now my payroll check has been on hold since Friday (6 days now), "waiting to clear". In that time Ive called the check issuer bank, they cleared the check DAYS AGO! Now my water has been shut off and I have no money for my daughter's birthday today. Worst experience I've ever had with a bank in my whole life!!!

A cashier's check from Regions was given to my minor daughter for her outstanding grades at graduation. I took the check back to Regions, as I thought it would be simpler process to get the check cashed. Lord was I wrong. The lady did the best she could but my daughter and I stood there for a solid 30 minutes before I asked if someone else could help. She tried to get me to come back the next day to open a savings account because my daughter didn't have an I.D. as a 14 year old, which didn't make sense either. Meanwhile, they're closing the bank down and I and my daughter are still standing there. She called the issuer of the check and was given further confirmation that the check was a legit check. I didn't understand why it was an issue, seeing that the check came from their bank. A simple search in there system could find the cashier's check number. I'm not a wizard, nor did I think it would require rocket science to get the check cashed. I would recommend further training for these situations or even job aids readily available.
I'm just glad it's over.
