        Dr. Kirson is one of the most caring doctors ever! She takes as much time with you as you need. She is patient as you ask all of your questions and really knows her stuff. She always has a solution and an answer for my every medical question. As she has referred me out to other doctors for related treatments, she calls me to follow up to see what they have to say about the condition and how to treat it. She is one of the most knowledgeable and compassionate doctors I have ever met. Without her, I could have never lost nearly 100 lbs! She and her team have truly given me my life back!

        Dr. Kirson has the great ability to know steps to take when her patients are in need of help..due to her presence of mind to order laboratory and other testing, she can really start the ball rolling to achieve an accurate diagnosis.. She also facilitates further care with other physicians.. I would probably have suffered myocardial infarct damage if I had not found out that I had two blocked coronary arteries in 2022. Thanks to her fitting the testing pieces together, I was able to have more testing done to establish that I would have a successful angioplasty and a coronary artery stent placed last year..Dr. Kirson has also helped me achieve weight and fat loss with a high protein, low carbohydrate diet over the last two and a half years...Ortho Health and all the staff are there for their patients always...

      Dr. Kirson has a passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to educating her patients and the community on leading a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Kirson has been seen all around the Chicago area giving seminars and lectures focusing on how to use food as your best medicine. She extends this love for teaching to her everyday encounters with patients using picture diagrams and detailed explanations to empower patients with knowledge and to ensure their understanding of what is happening in their body. Dr. Kirson earned her medical degree at Rush University Medical Center and completed her residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology where she earned numerous awards for her compassion, excellence in care and teamwork in the treatment of patients. Dr. Kirson went on to pursue advanced training and education in Obesity Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Kirson combines her 20 plus years of clinical experience with her passion for improving metabolic wellness to help every patient achieve their optimal health. She has a special interest in helping women with metabolic difficulties related to PCOS, menopause, postpartum weight loss, and the various stages in a woman’s life.Fun Fact: Dr. Kirson was born in Haifa, Israel, where the delivering Ob/Gyn Fellow later became her Maternal Fetal Medicine Attending in Residency at Lutheran General Hospital– it is indeed a small world!
