        Dr. Bello is very attentive to details and a caring rheumatologist. He and his staff are very efficient. Their office has x-ray machines right on site. Ilinois Bone and Joint in Glenview is an amazing facility with specialists of all kinds in one place. Impressive!

        Arrived at 7:45am as instructed for an 8am appointment. I left at 8:40am as doctor was a no show. Of course the nurse used the he was with patients. Usually i get that but the exam room i was sitting in was right next to his office so i could hear him yucking it up with whoever was in his office for the last 20 minutes. I suggest Dr Bello remember that the patient is the customer and that there are many other doctors that do what he does in our community. Seems to me he has inflated his position vs a vi the patient.

      Alfonso Bello, MD

      Dr. Alfonso Bello is a board-certified rheumatologist with an additional board certification in pain medicine. He provides care for arthritis, osteoporosis and inflammatory diseases. Dr. Bello provides advanced treatments, including the latest forms of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and biologic therapies. He puts particular emphasis on strategies to control patients’ pain, whatever the cause may be. He takes a holistic approach that combines medication with physical therapy, nutritional therapy and other treatments. His goal is to put patients’ illnesses into remission and to restore their quality of life.Dr. Bello is the director of rheumatologic research at IBJI. He and his fellow IBJI rheumatologists are conducting multiple clinical trials of new medications, providing patients with the opportunity to take part in these studies and be treated with promising new therapies.He is an expert in osteoarthritis treatment guidelines and lectures internationally to physician and pharmaceutical industry groups. Dr. Bello is also a former commander in the U.S. Public Health Service assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard.
