    As a resident who has lived in Farnsworth Hill's largest property in downtown Evanston for over 40 years, I am in an especially good position to vouch for their integrity. The management has been exceptionally accommodating and reasonable on a full spectrum of issues over the years - my interactions with Jim Nash and his staff have been consistently positive. I especially appreciate that the office arranges for all urgent service requests handled immediately, when urgent. (Special shoutout to Wendy, the ever-efficient, helpful office mgr., who makes a busy office run smoothly) The on-site maintenance personnel are easily accessible and helpful. Dany Pop, the on-site superintendent and lead of his three person team has been here approx. 30 years, and has all the expertise one would expect from his supervisory position, which he earned the hard way during his tenure: one act at at a time. Unless the labor is of a very specialized nature, Dany will find an effective solution, no matter the request. He handles urgent requests immediately or within 24 hrs. and a 'no worries' professionalism when contacted, even on major/religious holidays (including Christmas!!) and is always eager to find a workable solution no matter the request. Like me, he is neat and a perfectionist in completing all work requests. Robert, another member of the service crew, is terrific - a polite and reliable resource in the building for over 30 years. Vesa, the third and newest member of the team, can often handle matters of a less complex nature perfectly fine. The residents are an eclectic group - a good mix of students, young families and more mature folks. In recent years especially, my neighbors have been very considerate/quiet, friendly and always willing to offer a hand if in need. Finally, the location of the building is ideally situated in downtown Evanston, and I have always felt very safe living here as the building is well monitored with tight security measures. All in all, I've been very pleased with my residential experience at this Farnsworth-Hill managed property, and feel fortunate that I landed here many years ago. Highly recommended!!

    I'm currently a tenant and my apartment has a mouse infestation. They will not deduct my rent for loss of food and inconvenience, they will not pay for an exterminator rather they want to wait for theirs to show up (they don't know when he will show up.) All they will do is send someone to put out sticky traps which you can easily do yourself. I can go on and on. EDIT: This was resolved.

All they will do is send someone to put out sticky traps which you can easily do yourself. I can go on and on.

We were notified late last week and immediately sent maintenance to put down traps. The building has monthly extermination service and your unit will be treated when that is scheduled - the property manager did not have the date off the top of her head when you called.If you suffered a loss due to this issue, it should be covered under your renters insurance policy. Please review the Chicago Landlord-Tenant Ordinance (A summary was given to you at lease signing) for more information on what can and cannot be deducted from rent.UPDATE - This review was posted on 8/16 and the exterminator visited on 8/19.
