My wife and I were making the rounds to the Black Friday furniture stores specials as we needed to furnish several rooms. Our first stop and what turned out to be our last stop was at Penny Mustard in Lombard. Pete was our design consultant and he was phenomenal, offered great suggestions and all possible options for the furniture we selected. My wife and I were greatly impressed with the huge selection of Penny Mustards quality American made furniture. Posting a review, but for us this is more of a story. Last week I spent the day with my Mom. Full day; many errands, appointments, shopping all related to an upcoming move due to significant downsizing of home. Backstory is necessary to explain our true appreciation for the experience we had at Penny Mustard Thursday evening, April 4. Mom wanted a rich looking brown/cherry wood cocktail table with two matching end tables and a TV credenza (without glass doors). We tried several stores, but no luck. Our day was long, we live far decided to head home. On route to expressway saw Penny Mustard. We both looked at one another decided lets try. BEST DECISION! Store closes @ 7pm. We walked in at 6:35pm. Literally stepped foot in showroom, looked straight ahead there was a beautiful cocktail table. Perfect size, color with storage drawers just like Mom wanted. A VERY friendly Sales Associate approached us with the friendliest greeting and welcome smile. We felt bad it was like 20min to closing. We apologizedSabrina Gallo introduced herself, told us not to worry about time. Asked how she could help us, what we needed and if we wanted to walk floor. We told her how much we loved cocktail table. We even elaborated on the day we had, sharing several store experiences. We tried being quick knowing time. Sabrina wasnt concerned about time, truly was interested. We told her we also wanted two end tables. They were right there!! We saw, but it didnt click. Wait, here is the best partmom and I sat on the sofa displayed taking a chance by asking for a credenza. Sabrina smiled, so sweetly said right here as she turned around, showed us one of a different model/scale behind us, but said we can have one made to our liking that would match both the cocktail table and end tables. Mom designed a credenza with no glass, exact size and color. My mom and I jumped up to hug her! This move is bitter-sweet for Mom. Just want everything to be perfect. Sabrina Gallo sensed this. Sabrina is top notch, a true class act. This wasnt just a furniture purchase for us. Working with Sabrina was a personal experience for us, one we will never forget. Her personality is genuine, not focused just on a sale. We felt valued as customers. Sabrina ensured we were happy, provided options Mom could choose from without any pressure, didnt make mom feel rushed due to time along with comforting Moms anxiousness. In addition, the store itself is beautiful; such class, unique beauty and great location! Thank you Sabrina and Penny Mustard

We were able to find the most beautiful pieces at this store and had a phenomenal experience with the help of Judy. She is knowledgeable and wonderful at what she does.
