Costco Wholesale - South Loop

On 6/22, around mid day.. visited this southloop location to take a picture for a online renewal downgrade and to spend the rewards check from my executive membership that expired 3/2023. Because if you renew 3 months after it's expiration, you only get a partial year of usage for your renewed executive membership. Service desk, the young woman with dark hair, Latin.. after telling her I downgrading my renewal online and was there to take a picture, she immediately asked for my old card and that I need the card in my possession, of course I didn't bring it because it was completely new membership number. She insisted that I needed to have my old card in my possession and said you don't think each time you renew you should get a new card, do you? Then the woman who worked with her said she gets a new card if it's a new membership and that sounds like it's a new membership....... Then after mistakenly going to the self-checkout unknowingly can't use the rewards check their after ringing up about $200 worth of groceries. The man working in that area told me I would have to use it next time. Then his supervisor steps in and tells me that he will take me at the front and simply press a couple of buttons and transfer my check out items to a different register and off I went. Some of the staff members are hostile and simply not helping, and are poor listeners...
