I rented an apartment that turned out to be uninhabitable. I asked the landlord to terminate my lease, but she refused to do so or to return my security deposit and first months rent. Aaron and his expert knowledge of the RLTO saved the day. After filing our complaint, the landlord settled and returned my rent and security deposit, plus the filing fees. Im very thankful for his expertise and responsiveness, and for his help in a speedy resolution to a very stressful problem. Thank you!

When handling clients, you should be willing to listen its all about listening and having them start from the beginning. I called they were very rude. Cut me off several times and made me extremely anxious. For people whose civil rights have been violated, this is something that is very delicate for some people they do not care what the victims are going through they just need to know is it a slam dunk case or not? Can they get a demand letter and settle Ie they are not litigators all they want to do is settle cases immediately, and some cases have to be fought Thats something they are not willing to do for their clients they only want to mediate

As someone who has attended law school, I know what I can and cannot handle. I also know a reasonable attorney when I see one. I had recently moved out of a rental to move into the homeownership world. My landlord refused to give me most of my deposit, claiming outrageous damages and failing to follow proper procedure, thus breaking the RTLO. Although I considered pursuing the case independently, I decided to hire someone who knows more than me in this particular area of law. While I know the law in general terms, a more specialized area such as this requires an attorney who knows what they are doing. Aaron is that attorney who knows what he is doing regarding security deposit cases. He analyzed my case immediately, agreed that he would accept it, answered all my questions, and got the landlord served. Immediately upon service, settlement talks ensued, and Aaron did a phenomenal job settling the case. Before I knew it, I was signing a beneficial settlement agreement and received the funds. Aaron took care of everything for me and kept me updated as the progress ensued. If you know you have been wronged by a previous landlord who wrongfully kept your deposit, then I suggest hiring Aaron Krolik because he will resolve the case for you efficiently and timely!

I was not a previous client of this man, and I'm not a current client. I spoke with him on the phone for a consultation about an issue that I'm having with my landlord. I wasn't upset by anything he said, just the way he said it. I think he was under the impression I wanted to move out of the city, because he said "chicago is so shtty", and after I told him that I actually love my city, he said "oh yeah, its great in the summer time". ??? Very bizarre thing to say, and so unprofessional. I took a chance on speaking with him, even considering the negative reviews that he has, in the end my experience was the same as theirs. He managaed to belittle me, raise his voice, and still had the gall to tell me "I'm not arguing with you" in a call that only lasted 20 minutes. I'm not an argumentative person, and I was coming to him for help so I would never argue with someone whose assistance I'm seeking. I never doubted his credentials but he still felt the need to tell me three times that he's been "doing this for 20 years", even though I never asked. Maybe others have had a better experience with him but that wasn't my take at all. So, I guess, be cautious. Edited to say: 1. Just because the legal advice is free, doesn't mean its professional. 2. YELLING OR RAISING YOUR VOICE IS NOT PROFESSIONAL, ESPECIALLY NOT "100% PROFESSIONAL". Have you had a conversation with another person before?? 3. Belittling me by saying "I guess you don't know the law" is not professional. If I knew the law I wouldn't be seeking legal counsel? 4. Keep your "sense of humour" at bay during business calls and refrain from cursing or possibly, maybe even unintentionally, insulting the person you're speaking with. Says he's 100% professional but doesn't deny yelling/raising his voice, or cursing during the call. STOP YELLING AT PEOPLE WHO ARE COMING TO YOU FOR HELP. That's more mind boggling than cursing in a "joking" manner.
