This was our first ever childcare experience back in 2019 when our son was only 15 months. His teachers were really wonderful and he learned so much at a young age. Unfortunately, we pulled him out because of the pandemic. Fast forward to this year. After struggling with a threenager, spending summer at Bright Horizons-Drexel was exactly what our son needed. The administration and teachers are wonderful. The facility is clean and well equipped with enriching activities and tools for kids. I do not ever worry about my son's well-being when he is there. Thank you Ms. Ruby, Sabrae, Michelle, Keanna, Marcia, and the rest of the Bright Horizons team!

Both of my sons attended daycare here. Im a grad student at the UofC, and its located a block away from the Reg, which is really convenient. I previously had them at a Montessori daycare, and I preferred Bright Horizons - Bright Horizons has both child-led opportunities and school lessons introducing the kids to new subjects. Administration here is superb. 99% of the caregivers are very sweet, but I once caught a caregiver angrily picking up my son by one arm. I immediately reported her to administration and they ended up firing her. About a year after that, a cafeteria lady named Shakira stopped giving my son lunch. I reported her to administration and they dealt with her as well. Despite these instances, Id still recommend this daycare as we stayed 3 years and only had two bad apples. The curriculum and facilities are great. The vast majority of the caregivers are nice, but you can immediately report any caregivers you take issue with and administration will deal with it as if it were their own child, which is all I could ask. Thank you, Bright Horizons :)

We left this Bright Horizon location around 6 months ago. In looking back, I think we can provide an honest review. Beautiful facility, convenient location. You get what you pay for in that regard. Great directors, stringent policies which many seemed justified. The piece that Im still trying to make sense of was surrounding one of the infant teachers. My son was loved by much of the staff and even now at his new daycare is received with more love, joy and compliments than we can ever imagine. One of his teachers at Bright Horizon was incredible and provided great feedback. The other however, seemedto not want my son there. Even as a very young infant it was like pulling teeth to hear about his developmental progress. She always found some little complaint instead. Things that seemed standard for very young infants like, he cries at times or he wants to be held or he wakes up when a loud noise happens. She only seemed bubbly when he was out for a few days or on days when he slept most of the day. At one point, she even dug through all of the compartments of our diaper bag unnecessarily to find a reason that he couldnt come. She lectured me about travel policies at the door. When he grew a bit older, he came home one day slapping his own hand and saying no and imitating someone pointing and scolding. That was not a behavior that he got from me or my husband. There was just never anything truly positive from her. We werent sure it was a race thing or notEspecially in contrast to the experience were having now, which again my son couldnt be happier. Im not sure if shes even there anymore, but I would just caution other African American parentssince there werent many of us there at the time.
