Do not ever participate in a promotion that this company provides. I spent over $300 at it's participating location, sent in a copy of the receipt 4 times and each time it came back incomplete. After sending multiple emails before the deadline, the customer service would not issue my reward. If I could give zero stars, I would.

If I could give zero stars, I would! We have recently had an absolutely horrific experience with Brookfield Properties, specifically regarding their Sky55 property in Chicago. Several months ago, we submitted a lease application for a 2 bed/2 bath unit at Sky55, for a 24-month lease. Several days later we received written confirmation that our application was approved, and that our lease was confirmed. Several months passed, and just last week, as our lease start date approached closer, we became concerned as we had not received any communication regarding move-in details just two weeks shy of our move in date which is scheduled for next week. We also discovered that the link where we were previously able to download the fully executed copy of the lease, was no longer active, and our leasing portal was adjusted and the previous confirmation messages were removed, and it now said that an apartment had not yet been assigned. Upon reaching out to the Sky55 management, we were informed by a representative named Tracey that our unit was no longer available, as the current tenant had decided to renew their lease. Brookfield NEVER contacted us to inform us that our lease was not being honored we did not receive this information until we proactively reached out just days before our move-in date. The fact that such a drastic change in circumstances was never communicated to us is unacceptable. We had to wait more than 48 hours for any further discussion. Finally, the manager, Christine Hydel, informed us that despite the fact that management dropped the ball and admitted that this error was on their end, the best accommodation they were able to offer was a discount equivalent to 1 month rent-free on the only other similar 2 bed/2 bath unit available for our start date which was now priced $945 per month HIGHER than the rent amount which we had agreed to in the lease agreement. This would result in an increased cost of nearly $19,000 for the duration of the 24-month lease term, even with the one month rent-free. This is far out of our budget and is not a viable option. Regional management affirmed this decision and offered no additional concessions, despite the fact that we are now potentially without a place to live in just ten days, due to Brookfields error. It is appalling that they are unwilling to offer any further accommodations when they are directly at fault for the situation we are in. Christine and Brookfield have clearly admitted that this was an error on their end and have not made any clear efforts to adequately rectify the situation leaving us in a very difficult position as we have to vacate our current apartment in less than 2 weeks and had this lease confirmed nearly four months ago. This conduct is absolutely unfair, unprofessional, and deceptive. It is a huge disappointment that this property management company is handling the situation so poorly and I would caution any individual who is interested in a property managed by Brookfield against signing a lease with them.

Ive been a tenant for over two years, at Sky55 location, Brookfield currently manages a and its been nothing but disappointment. The overall experience of residing here is NOT TOP TIER. Lets begin with the amenities, the package service that is a required additional fee each month is horrible. Even though the tenants are being charged, one must wait several days after it stated being delivered to receive it, because the front desk personnel which is usually one person is required to place all the packages in the storage bins. This facility has over 40 floors with only 2, push carts to provide for tenants if needed. The elevators are always NEVER fully operable. 4 elevators in the facility and you are lucky if they are fully operable for a month consecutive. Building is non-smoking yet reek of cigarette and marijuana smell some days. When advise management staff of it, a simple flier is posted; nothing further. The facility has a parking lot, that is an additional monthly fee in which they mandatory attach to the rent, without giving one the option of setting up their own payment date; frequently some days are extremely difficult to find parking; extremely filthy. If its an event, the monthly tenants are NOT a priority. Multiple times MONTHLY TENANTS HAD TO PARK ON THE STREET, because the parking garage and management DO NOT COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY in accommodating/prioritizing the TENANTS FIRST, and the lot is full. The garage has a reek smell of marijuana as well some days. The Gates become broken at timesand you have to wait until front desk personnel to give you access out. Which is a mess if you paying for monthly in and out immediate access. The management staff has a high overturn rate, its hard to keep a report with them, because the staff changes so frequently and its frustrating. The rental increases are ridiculous. I currently incurred a $500 increase!!! Currently in the process of speaking with management regarding this issue, and its been a nightmare. Reached out to Brookfield Property multiple times and unsuccessful. Spoke with the current property manager regarding the issue; No fair solution. Requested to speak with Corporate, assisted with number, which is a complete failure. Left several voicemails and no replys. Been trying to speak with corporate since November. No one wants to truly accommodate you fairly; but faithfully send you a invoice for the rent. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO CALL HOME.
